Helping Hand: Mo meetings, mo problems

We’re here to help you as a professional. This segment is dedicated to enhancing your professional workflow through innovative solutions and best practices.

START SETTING MEETING AGENDAS. This internal rule totally changed our productivity. Especially for remote or hybrid teams, it’s typical to have a lot of recurring stand-ups or touchpoints in your calendars.

Set a meeting agenda for every single thing in your calendar. If you have nothing to add to the agenda, you can probably cancel the meeting and spend your time doing something more productive. Trust us, it’s a game-changer for efficient work days!

Data Deep Dive: Yeehaw đŸ€  Revival of Country Music

We’re here to help you as an employee. This segment is built to inspire you with the transformative power of data in marketing growth and problem-solving, based on industry success stories.

TLDR: Country music is off the charts lately. The creativity of modern artists and country’s longstanding identity has merged for an exciting resurgence. There’s room for everyone to get on this bandwagon.

Dust off those cowboy boots and grab your ten-gallon hats, because we’re ready for an all-night revival! (Zach Bryan concerts are truly an experience)

Country music is so back, baby. The twangy tunes of trucks and heartbreaks are mending even the most achy-breaky hearts. The genre is topping charts faster than you can say “yeehaw”.

A key factor in country's comeback is its strong, established identity. Country music offers more than tunes – it’s a sense of belonging. This ready-made identity makes it easy for anyone to find their place in the country music community, whether you’re a seasoned line dancer or just trying on your first pair of cowboy boots.

From 2017 to 2022, country songs made up a modest 2% of the Billboard Hot 100. But hold onto your horses, folks – in 2023, that number skyrocketed to 25%! That's right, one in four of the most popular songs in the US was a country tune.

This country comeback isn't just a flash in the pan. We've seen mega-hit albums shattering Spotify's single-day streaming records for country music left and right. Zach Bryan's "American Heartbreak" broke the mold in 2022, only to be outdone by Morgan Wallen's "One Thing at a Time" in 2023. Not to be left in the dust, Queen B herself, Beyoncé, tipped her hat to the genre with "Cowboy Carter" in 2024, setting a new high-water mark.

And the year isn’t over yet – we're not-so-patiently waiting for the release of Post Malone's "F-1 Trillion" album later this summer. đŸ€

What's driving this honky-tonk renaissance? Some credit goes to genre-bending artists and the power of social media. Country has found a new home on platforms like TikTok, where viral videos introduce the genre to younger audiences and spark trends faster than a bucking bronco.

Some of our upcoming country favourites.

So whether you're a lifelong fan or a curious newcomer, there's never been a better time to mosey on over to the country section of your favorite streaming service. Who knows? You might just be boot-scootin’ across the dance floor!

(Now just imagine if Miss Taylor Swift went back to country 😅)

So why do you care? We see old trends become new again all the time. Catching wind of them early presents fruitful opportunities to build new content and reach new audiences.

Fun & Flirty: A hot new bombshell enters the [Olympic] Villa[ge]

We’re here to help you as a person. This segment offers a lighthearted exploration of life beyond the workplace, focusing on cultural and lifestyle topics.

Was anyone expecting there to be an Olympic Village Muffin Man?

Has anyone else been obsessed with Olympic Village TikToks lately? Here are our three fav follows (or, frankly, just rabbit holes to go down) if you want to feel like you’re part of the fun at Paris 2024.

  1. Suni Lee (USA, Gymnastics): We love a good Gen Z queen in the Village. Sunni is fluent in trends and TikTok audios, bringing relatable content to the event of the year in creative ways. She was literally planning TikToks on live television with Simone Biles after winning a gold medal. Iconic, or as the French say, iconique.

  2. Henrik Christiansen (NOR, Swimming): You might think this long-distance swimmer’s one true love would be a chlorine pool, but you’d be wrong. It’s actually *checks notes* the chocolate muffins they have at the Olympic Village breakfast? Henrik’s TikTok page and all of the inspired chocolate muffin lore is truly a must-watch.

  3. Tom Daley (GB, Diving): Tom may be able to defy the rules of gravity when he’s diving, but on TikTok, he’s lowkey kind of like the rest of us. Doing the Charli XCX Apples dance, knitting sweaters in his spare time
Tom’s balance of being aggressively normal while simultaneously being aggressively not normal is just hilarious.

A few honorable mentions deserve to go out to Ilona Maher (USA, Rugby), Daria Saville (AUS, Tennis), and Tara Davis-Woodhall (USA, Athletics). Thanks for the content, rockstars. And for representing your nations on the biggest stage in the world, I guess.

Enjoy Leo season and end-of-summer patios - we’ll see you soon!
